4 bombshell trades the Washington Commanders could make in 2023

Commanders could trade for Lamar Jackson
There appears to be a storm brewing between Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens this off-season. One that centers around a lucrative contract that hasn’t been agreed upon just yet.
According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the two sides are reportedly around $100 million apart during recent negotiations. Not exactly the best sign that things are going positively leading into the spring.
Trading Jackson would be a last resort, one suspects. Baltimore will use the exclusive franchise tag on their former NFL MVP to prevent him from leaving for nothing in free agency, which will only anger the player further given how things have unfolded so far.
Make no mistake, this is something the Washington Commanders and others around the league are watching keenly. Dan Snyder will have absolutely no qualms about giving Jackson the fully guaranteed money he wants, but the asking price in terms of compensation is set to be substantial for the Ravens to part ways with their franchise player.
This could be the electrifying signal-caller the Commanders have been craving. Considering the talent already on offense, it’s an attractive destination if reinforcements to the offensive line arrive.
Aside from the Aaron Rodgers saga, this will be the offseason’s biggest domino. One that could go either way all things considered.
