Even though the Commanders were eliminated from playoff contention last week (quick, someone tell Ron Rivera), they have a chance to play spoiler against the Cowboys.

Sam Howell takes the reigns as Washington’s quarterback with a chance to beat the Cowboys and prevent them from having a chance to jump to the No. 1 seed in the NFC; that would happen if the Cowboys win and the Eagles lose.

Win, lose or draw, however, Commanders fans in Maryland can nearly guarantee they get $200 betting on this game with only a $10 investment. I’ll explain that and then tell you my pick for the game below.

As for my best bet and odds for the game, here they are.

Commanders vs Cowboys Prediction and Pick

The Cowboys’ offense has been hot since Dak Prescott returned from injury, but their defense has been spotty (at best) the last few weeks. Despite holding Tennessee to 13 points last week, the Dallas D is giving up the third-most yards per play (6.2) in the NFL over the last three weeks. They’re particularly susceptible against the run, which, while they’re not great at it, the Commanders focus much of their attention on and will do so even more with Howell starting.

Washington, meanwhile, isn’t great at defending the run either (21st in yards per rush) and has given up 5.8 yards per play over their last three games. While their offense hasn’t been great for a while, I believe Washington will be able to exploit a Cowboys’ front seven looking to preserve itself for the playoffs.

With all this in mind, I’m backing OVER 40.5 points being scored in this game. Dallas has cleared this number in eight of its last nine and, while the Commanders have only cleared it in 2-of-7, I think Dallas is looking ahead and will give up enough big plays, and create enough on its own, to clear 41.

Either way, a TD will be scored in this game and you can get $200 as soon as one is by clicking this link and following the instruction below. Get your free $200 before the offer ends.
