The Washington Commanders and New York Giants played to an anti-climatic 20-20 tie two weeks ago, and now the NFC East rivals will face off in a pivotal rematch on Sunday Night Football in Week 15.

How should we bet on this game with playoff implications?

Let’s take a look at the latest odds and then I’ll give you my best bet.

Giants vs. Commanders Odds, Spread, and Total

Giants vs. Commanders Odds, Spread, and Total Movement

The Commanders opened as 4.5-point favorites and the line has remained at that number throughout the week. The total opened at 40.5, dropped to 39.5, but is now back up to 40.5 as of Sunday afternoon.

Giants vs. Commanders Prediction and Pick

Call it a grudge bet, but I was on the OVER 40.5 the last time these two teams played, and ended up losing when it finished in a 20-20 tie. I’m back on the OVER in the rematch and it’s largely due to my belief is was the right bet to back in the first game.

In that game, the two teams combined for 727 total yards of offense. In most cases, that many yards would lead to more than 40 points.

A big issue both teams has in the first game was converting third downs. They went a combined 7-for-27 on third downs. An improvement in that area that game will go a long way in the OVER cashing.

The Washington offense has largely done what its needed to do to win games this season, and I’ll continue to trust it again on Sunday Night Football.
