After two weeks of hype and anxiousness, kickoff is just around the corner. In less than 48 hours from now, the Commanders and Giants will lock horns on Sunday Night Football in one of the biggest games of the NFL season.

With both squads at 7-5-1, a win for either side would put them in a great position to secure a playoff berth in the final three weeks.

Luckily for both teams, the Seahawks lost to the 49ers on Thursday night. Seattle dropped to 7-7 with the loss, so both Washington and New York are up two games on their Wild Card rivals in the loss column heading into the weekend.

Fans are deeming this a must-win game, and understandably go given the Commanders are well-rested, playing at home, getting key players back from injury, and have had two weeks to review film and prepare for the rematch.

The Commanders opened as -3.5 favorites. The line has since jumped to -4.5 in favor of Washington, according to FanDuel. They’re -110 to cover the spread, and -230 to win outright on the moneyline. The Giants are also -110 to cover, but are +190 to win outright.  Some G-Men diehards will be all over that.

We predicted a 24-20 Commanders win earlier in the week, and we’re sticking to it for all the reasons stated above (home field, rest, injuries etc.).

It’s going to be a chilly night at FedEx Field. Temperature at kickoff is expected to be in the low 30s, but it’s going to feel in the low 20s. Winds could climb as high as 10 mph, so that’ll be something to watch in the passing game. The good news is there’s a 0% chance of precipitation.
