Commanders vs Eagles Odds and Prediction for Monday Night Football
By Jerry Trotta
The Washington Commanders squandered a golden opportunity on Sunday to move above .500 for the first time since Week 1. After jumping out to a 17-7 fourth quarter lead over the Minnesota Vikings, the Commanders allowed Kirk Cousins and company to score 13 unanswered points in the final 10 minutes.
A win would’ve solidified Washington’s status as a Wild Card challenger. While they’re still in playoff contention, they have a mammoth game on deck against the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football.
The Eagles gave fans a scare Thursday against the Texans, but a pair of Davis Mills interceptions allowed Nick Sirianni’s side to pull away in the second half. When the dust settled, Philly coasted to a 29-17 victory despite allowing rookie running back Dameon Pierce to gallop for 139 yards on 5.1 yards per attempt.
The Eagles have looked vulnerable, but their record is all that matters and they’re currently the favorites to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.
Let’s check out the odds for Monday night’s matchup.
Commanders vs Eagles Odds for Monday Night Football
According to FanDuel’s early odds, the Commanders open as a +10-point road underdog. They have -110 odds to cover the number. If you’re a courageous better, Washington is a juicy +390 to win outright on the moneyline. A bet of $100 would net a $390 return. Any takers?
The Eagles, meanwhile, are -110 to cover the 10-point spread and -510 on the moneyline. We wouldn’t recommend the moneyline unless you’re cooking up a parlay and need a throw-in game to boost your odds.
The over/under for Monday checks in at 43.5 points.

Commanders vs Eagles Prediction for Monday Night Football
The Commanders dared Jalen Hurts to beat them with his arm and the MVP candidate did exactly that by going 22-of-35 for 340 yards and three touchdowns. Washington’s secondary has improved drastically since that game, including Kendall Fuller, who was tormented by DeVonta Smith. That should offer some optimism, but we have no confidence in the offense to fill their end of the bargain.
Facing a strong Vikings defense, Taylor Heinicke managed just 149 passing yards and Antonio Gibson and Brian Robinson were bottled up on the ground. The two backs combined for 80 rushing yards on just 3.3 yards per attempt.
Minnesota’s defense is no slouch, but it pales in comparisons to that of the Eagles, who’ve allowed the second-fewest passing yards and have more interceptions (12) than passing touchdowns allowed (10). While Heinicke’s mobility matches up better vs Philly than Carson Wentz, the Vikings’ pass rush limited Heinicke’s effectiveness and the Eagles’ DL might just be the best in the NFL.
You know where we’re going with this. We expect the Commanders to put up a fight, but the Eagles are undefeated for a reason. Tough to envision them dropping this game at Lincoln Financial Field coming off a mini bye.
Eagles 27, Commanders 17.
