Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson was shot multiple times in a robbery attempt on Sunday, according to reports. The third-round pick out of Alabama is in stable condition and the injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening, per JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington.
Per Finlay, Robinson was involved in an attempted carjacking. NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero added that two bullets struck Robinson’s lower body.
Police are still searching for the suspects.

It’s understood the incident occurred in Washington, not Baltimore, where the Commanders played their preseason finale Saturday night. Robinson didn’t play in the game as he established himself as the team’s potential starting running back for Week 1 amid a strong training camp and preseason.
Robinson led the Commanders’ backfield with 31 yards on eight carries against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2 and scored the team’s first touchdown of the preseason the previous week against the Carolina Panthers.
