3. Dale Earnhardt Jr.

An absolute NASCAR legend, Earnhardt Jr. walked away from racing in 2017 after notching two Daytona 500 wins (the sport’s most iconic race) and another 20 some victories. He’s been outspoken about his Washington Football fandom, which started at a young age when he was gifted a jersey for his ninth birthday. How passionate is Earnhardt about the team? He follows Riggo’s Rag on Twitter! Enough said!

2. Kevin Durant

A District of Colombia native, Durant is a huge Washington sports fan. He even admitted to wanting to buy the franchise after he retires from the NBA. Of course, that would require Dan Snyder selling the team or being forced out of office, but it’s tough to envision a better successor than Durant.

If you follow Durant on Twitter, you can find him tweeting during and after Washington’s games. One of the greatest NBA players to ever walk the earth, Durant is a two-time champ, two-time Finals MVP, four-time scoring champ, a former MVP, 12-time All-Star and has averaged 27.2 points per game in his career.

KD is the living definition of a DC legend.

1. Matthew McConaughey

One of Hollywood’s biggest stars who’s appeared in a number of Academy-Award-nominated films over his acting career, Matthew McConaughey is a huge Commanders fans and attends the occasional game every now and then.

McConaughey has even been seen meeting with owner Dan Snyder and former president Bruce Allen before games.

Most recognized for winning an Academy Award and being the loudest celebrity Texas Longhorn fan out there, McConaughey once told fellow actor Larry Michael he fell in love with Washington Football because he liked Chris Hanburger’s name.

That’s not how we would’ve guessed McConaughey’s Commanders originated, but we’re happy to have him on board. Unfortunately, the last two decades of his acting career has seen far more success than Washington’s football team.

Let’s hope better days are ahead!
