2. Week 16 at 49ers

No NFL team enjoys a west coast road trip. Two-gamers are miserable, as it normally requires staying in a hotel instead of flying home cross-country. Fortunately for Washington, they only have one such road trip. The only problem? It falls on Christmas Eve against one of the NFC’s best teams in the 49ers.

What’s not to like about this matchup? Scott Turner’s offensive prowess will be put to the test against Kyle Shanahan, who might be the most innovative offensive play-callers the league has to offer.

How will Ron Rivera and Jack Del Rio cope against Deebo Samuel, assuming he doesn’t get traded, obviously, and George Kittle? If Trey Lance is starting, what’s the plan to limit his dual-threat ability? As presently constructed, Washington’s linebackers aren’t equipped to keep up with the speed the 49ers’ offense offers.

Additionally, Chase Young and Nick Bosa will face off for the first time as NFL players. Former teammates at Ohio State and both former No. 2 overall picks who suffered ACL tears in their second seasons, you have to think Young and Bosa will enter this game with a chip on their shoulder to outperform the other.

All of this juice? On Christmas Eve? We cannot wait.
