1. Week 18 vs Cowboys

The timing of this matchup is either going to be brutal or beneficial. No in between. Either the Cowboys are going to have already clinched the division and be locked into their playoff seed and be able to rest their starters, or they’ll need a win to either clinch the division or potentially a higher seed in the playoffs.

The Commanders better hope it’s the former scenario, because Dallas is 9-1 against Washington with Dak Prescott under center. That’s just who he is. For all of his struggles against bonafide contenders, Prescott has dominated the NFC East, and weaker opponents in general, in his career.

That’s not to say Washington can’t win this matchup, and it definitely helps it won’t be in Dallas, where they got steamrolled last season, but no fan can be happy the Cowboys are waiting at the end of the calendar in Week 18.

Even if Mike McCarthy’s group has nothing to play for, can you really expect a division rival to lie down against a fellow rival if they could play spoiler? Regardless of whether it’s the first- or second-team, Dallas will put up a fight and that could be bad news for Washington if their playoff hopes cling to this game.
