There are plenty of options for Washington to go in the 2022 NFL Draft. Unless they add that franchise-caliber QB in the offseason, they’re going to be in the QB market come late April.

They’ll have their options, from a high-floor prospect like Kenny Pickett to a high-ceiling prospect like Malik Willis, the Commanders need to find that long-term answer under center immediately.

Being that Washington isn’t in a position to wait any longer, they’ll need to add a QB that can not only play immediately, but they need a signal-caller that can become a floor-raising, talent elevator for those he’s playing alongside.

That’s where Pittsburg’s Kenny Pickett enters the equation.

This mock draft will be built off of the fabric of the No. 11 overall selection, the selection of a franchise quarterback (finally) that’ll be able to start and produce from day one. Pickett may not have the highest ceiling in the class, but he does have the highest floor (by far) and will be the face of Washington’s franchise under center for years to come.
