The Washington Football Team turned in their most complete performance of the season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this past Sunday.

It’s funny what can happen when all three phases of the field come together, right? It’s almost like that’s the key to winning games in the NFL. Sure, your offense can make up for a poor defensive showing and vice versa, but Washington doesn’t have the requisite talent on either side of the ball to count on that.

While this was a tremendous win, Ron Rivera will need to rally the locker room for the upcoming matchup in Carolina, his former team.

The last thing Washington needs is an emotional letdown coming off a their best win since maybe at San Francisco or at Pittsburgh last year.

With that in mind, let’s see what the odds are saying about Washington’s chances to rattle off their second straight win.

Washington vs Panthers Odds for Week 11

According to our friends at WynnBET, Washington opens as a three-point road underdog in Carolina. They have -110 odds to cover the spread (bet $110 to win $100). If you’d prefer better odds, Ron Rivera’s group is a tidy +145 to win outright on the moneyline (bet $100 to win $145). The over/under for Sunday’s game is set at 43.5 points, with both sides checking in at -110 odds.

Washington vs Panthers Prediction for Week 11

Man, this one’s tough. If this game was two weeks ago and Sam Darnold was still quarterbacking the Panthers, we’d take Washington with a lot of confidence. With Christian McCaffrrey and Cam Newton igniting the offense, the Football Team will have their work cut out for them to come out of Carolina with a win.

This might sound obvious, but Washington can beat any team in the NFL if they play like they did this past weekend.

For as much swagger that Newton brings to the Panthers, he’s a very limited passer at this stage of his career. Last year with the Patriots, he totaled an 82.9 passer rating, which ranked 28th, and 177.1 yards per game, which ranked 34th.

As long as Washington is tough against the run and limits McCaffrey’s impact as a pass-catcher out of the backfield, which will be on the coaching staff, Rivera will pick up a victory against his former squad.

Washington 24, Panthers 17.
