2. The Reality Is, Chase Young needs to cut it loose.

Rivera called out Chase Young without using his name several times earlier in the season. He did so again, by name, in a recent interview and followed that up with more detail in his Monday press conference this week.

There is no question that Young is struggling to “do his job” in Rivera’s system and is somewhat torn between his natural instincts and his desire to be a team player, leaving him in unproductive purgatory. If this season is to somehow not be a complete and total waste for the franchise, Young is going to have to settle in and start making the game-changing plays we started to get accustomed to seeing late last season.
