The Washington Redwolves

One of the most popular potential names that has been thrown out there for the Washington Football Team is the Washington Redwolves.

The Redwolves name comes from the species of red wolf that is native to the Appalachian Mountain region. The name has picked up steam on social media platforms and in the national press and it could very well be the next name for the Football Team. Should the name be picked up, it will allow the team to use old uniforms with the “R” logo on helmets and the team could stick with the white, burgundy, and gold colorway.

The Washington Redwolves name also just rolls off the tongue. The team should be even more marketable once they get a new name and mascot because everyone will want to buy the brand new gear, even people that aren’t fans of the team. All of the logos that have been created by fans and circulated around the internet are actually pretty good.

The overall concept of the Redwolves is one that should definitely be entertained by the team’s front office as well as the league office. As the 2021 season rapidly approaches, the team will be making a decision on the name if one hasn’t been made already. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the newest member of the NFC East ends up being the Redwolves. This option definitely seems to be one of the frontrunners among the fans, both online and off.
