It was announced that the Washington Football Team will decide on a name and rebrand coming in early 2022. Here are five names the team could go by in 2022.

The sports industry is a brutal one, while also being fun. Everybody knows that one of the NFL’s monikers is “the No Fun League,” but we’re going to have a little fun with this one.

The plan for the team is to keep the burgundy and gold color scheme and remain branded as “Washington.” With that in mind, I have come up with a couple fun names and some serious names for the team going forward following the 2021 season.

Some of these names will allow for throwback uniforms to be used, while others may require a complete rebrand. Washington Football Team president Jason Wright has made it clear that he wants to move the team in a completely new direction, including moving into a new stadium once the lease on FedEx Field expires.

Some fans are still upset with the NFL and the franchise from moving away from the old name and logo, but it’s time to move on to bigger and better things: The future. The team will look very different than it did in 2020 and will only continue to change as the season progresses and as we get closer and closer to the new name and logo reveal. As for right now, let’s just sit back and enjoy the ride.
