The Washington Football Team will be renamed in 2022.  Here are some of the best choices to consider.

Admit it.  You are tired of referring to them as the Washington Football Team.  It’s too generic for your taste and you want the new name to be stylish, unique, flashy, and special.  That is a reasonable expectation and your patience will be rewarded in a few months.  Fans have various names in mind and while some are good choices, others are bland, boring, uninspiring, and downright awful.  But which one is the best?

The new name debate has been raging on since last summer when Washington decided to drop the old name and begin a process of choosing a new identity.  The debates have been anywhere between lighthearted fun to passionately intense.  The team decided to enlist the help of fans through the new Ambassador Network and this should help to keep emotions in check over the next several months.

So which name is the best, and will there be a mascot?  One name continues to dominate social media and many of the fans, especially the younger generation, are adamantly pursuing this particular change in a spirited manner.

Washington Football Team President Jason Wright recently ruled out a semi-popular name and sternly said that any direct references to Native Americans will not be considered.  That settles the matter and while many fans disagree with such a stance, it is decided, and the organization is moving forward and not looking back.

We are going to take a look at several names today and rate them according to what the fans, media, and organization could be considering.  We’ll offer four different tiers (Tier 1 to Tier 4) of names, with Tier 1 being the preferred monikers and Tier 4 ranking lower than the rest.  Here we go!
