Since joining the Washington Football Team 18 months ago, head coach Ron Rivera has made sweeping changes all over the organization — none more evident than on the field, where the personnel has changed drastically.

Which position groups have benefited the most from the Washington Football Team’s changes in 2021?  It’s certainly subjective, but I’ll attempt to rank the upgrades from 2020 to 2021.

To clarify, my rankings will be based on positional upgrades from last year to this year — not by the strength of the position group overall.  Every Washington Football Team fan understands the defensive line would be the cream on the crop when ranking by the strength of the positions.  But for this exercise, they won’t be ranked because the talent was already in place and simply carried over.

Also worth noting, I’ll be ranking based off the very early projected starters and key back-ups, not the entire depth chart.  They’ll be compared to the 2020 players who contributed most at each position.

So here we go. Which position upgraded the most?
