Here’s one way to evaluate the Washington Football Team’s quarterback situation.

Who is going to be the Washington Football Team quarterback in 2021? That question, no matter the year, is always a hot topic of conversation. This year, it seems particularly ripe for argument.

Coming out of minicamp, it looks like a two-horse race, with Ryan Fitzpatrick holding a small lead over Taylor Heinicke. But lurker Kyle Allen could be coming from off the pace.

This may not exactly recall the famous Sonny vs. Billy vs. Joe battles from the ‘70s, but it’s what we have in 2021.

I don’t know who the Washington Football Team quarterback will be in 2021. But I am going to offer a way of evaluating how well the chosen QB is performing. We all generally rely on the eyeball test for such matters, and I do have some faith in that.

However, this will be a bit more data-driven.

But I’m going to begin with the eyeball test. What follows are three lists. They rank the top 10 quarterbacks of 2020, as determined by three different rating metrics. I’ll tell you what they are after you do your own evaluation of the three lists.

Based on your own eyeball test, which of these three lists do you think best ranks the quarterbacks you saw in 2020?
