Defensive Line

DTs Rostered: (4) Daron Payne, Jonathan Allen, Matt Ioannidis, Tim Settle

Allen, Payne, Ioannidis and Settle could start for a majority of teams across the league. All can stuff the run and get after the passer as good as any group of interior defensive linemen. Arguably the easiest group to choose at any position on the final roster.

DEs Rostered: (5) Chase Young, Montez Sweat, Shaka Toney, Casey Toohill, James Smith-Williams

Washington’s defense is headlined by their vicious defensive line, and rightfully so. Chase Young and Montez Sweat are well on their way to becoming a feared edge duo that will have an impact on every game due to their elite size and athleticism.

The only question remaining at this position is who might take the role filled by fan favorite Ryan Kerrigan now that he is a Philadelphia Eagle.

Incoming rookie Shaka Toney has the speed and bend needed to be an effective situational pass rusher. However, the first edge player coming off the bench should be Casey Toohill. If Toohill can’t produce, his spot on the roster might not be occupied for long.
