Quarterback

Rostered: (3) Ryan Fitzpatrick, Taylor Heinicke, Kyle Allen

It is if the opinion of this writer that the Washington Football Team is in a much better position to succeed simply with the addition of Ryan Fitzpatrick. Fitzy should take Scott Turner’s offense to a different level compared to the last year’s opening trio of signal callers.

Taylor Heinicke should be the primary backup if Fitzpatrick were to falter via poor performance or injury. The upside is too much to pass up, and his gunslinger mentality should keep the offense moving when going up against some of the NFL’s best quarterbacks that Washington will face in 2021.

Kyle Allen will likely win the final spot over Steven Montez, as Montez could probably be kept on the practice squad with no real issue.

Either way, the ideal scenario would be Fitzpatrick staring all seventeen games plus potential playoff matchups.
