The Washington Football Team is clearly focusing on the 2021 season and 2022 is not on their radar at this time, but analysts and pundits never stop thinking about the next draft, even if it is a year away.

The 2021 NFL Draft is ancient history at this juncture and thoughts of the 2022 draft are far from the minds of most fans, but analysts are always looking far into the future.  The Washington Football Team added 10 new players and the front office is obviously putting their energy and attention into the 2021 season.

However, the scouting department never stops thinking about the future and the college football season is just around the corner.  Also, the supplemental draft is coming soon (date to be determined) and there could be a few good prospects to consider.

Mock drafts at this time of year are few and far between.  Some football websites produce mocks continuously for the fans who crave such information, but yours truly tends to limit the vast majority of them to the winter and early spring.  There are two exceptions – a late spring mock draft and one more during the bye week in the fall.  Today, we are using the late spring mock to take an early look at what the Washington Football Team could focus on next April in Las Vegas.

What will the team needs be next spring?  Who are the best prospects for Washington?  Will a quarterback be drafted?  The 2022 draft is 11 months away and while it is difficult to know who the exact targets could be for Washington, we do have a few ideas based on current talent levels and depth.

Current Las Vegas odds have Washington finishing second in the division (boooo!) and picking anywhere from 11th to 13th.  We’ll use these odds as the basis for today’s mock draft.  So let’s reach into the Riggo’s Rag vault once again and use the crystal ball to see what it offers us.
