The Washington Football Team added a lot of talent to its offense during the 2021 NFL Draft.

Going into the draft the two main holes that the Washington Football Team needed to fill were offensive tackle and linebacker (more specifically, weakside linebacker). After the first two rounds though, those holes were filled with Kentucky linebacker Jamin Davis and Texas tackle Samuel Cosmi.

Cosmi, who is 6-foot-7 and 300 pounds, gives Washington potential at offensive tackle, whether it is the right or left side. However, there are some flaws in his game, as detailed by Jordan Reid of The Draft Network.

More from Riggo's Rag

"As a run blocker, he climbs to the second level with ease in order to latch and eliminate targets. On the other hand, his lack of play strength on the first level shows up at the point of attack as he isn’t a frequent people mover."

With the wide receiver and tight end addition from the draft, Washington can now be more comfortable at those positions. Brown, who was an absolute stud at UNC, never received the same attention as Rashod Bateman or Kadarius Toney, but his talent is up there with those top wide receiver prospects.

Dyami has good size at 6-foot-1 and at about 200 pounds will allow for a more physical-deep ball to be thrown to him. That’s something some would argue Washington would’ve lacked this upcoming season without Brown.

Aside from Davis pick, the selection John Bates pick would be my favorite pick from the draft class. Bates, 6-foot-5, 250 pounds, can be a great addition in the run game along with Logan Thomas to allow for more athletic blocking schemes. He could even help get tough third down conversions with the short pass game.

Although I love the Sammis Reyes signing, the Bates pick opens up plenty of doors with the tight end position.

All in all, the 2021 NFL Draft class played out great for the Washington Football Team. The wide receiver and tight end rooms both have more depth to them than we could ever imagine after the draft.

Granted we have a very young group of tight ends in terms of actual experience playing tight end professionally. But with the wide receiver group we now have McLaurin, Samuel, Humphries, Sims, Brown, and Sims Jr. who have a lot of speed. And now, after adding Brown, the team has size and physicality that can give them more opportunity in the red zone or to just drive down the field.

And let’s not overlook Washington signing Jaret Patterson as their lone undrafted free agent. He scored eight touchdowns in one game at Buffalo and can open more doors than we already have in the running back room.

Gibson, McKissic, Barber, Miller, and now Patterson is a pretty solid rotation and something I feel Washington should be comfortable with heading into the 2021 NFL season.
