Washington Football Team Roster: Kicker, punter, and holder
Punter & Holder
Tress Way will handle the punting duties for an eighth straight season after being claimed off of waivers from the Bears in the late summer of 2014. He has earned two new contracts along the way and the Washington Football Team owns his rights until 2023.
Way is very likely to earn a new contract at that time. In other words, one of the best punters in the NFL is set to be in a Washington jersey for many years to come. Way will also serve as the holder on field goals and extra points.

Kicker
Dustin Hopkins is firmly entrenched as the starter this season after signing a one-year extension recently. Some fans may feel that he needs some competition in camp and the preseason after several struggles over the last couple of years.
Some of the issues centered on poor snaps, but Hopkins is not completely blameless. Giving him one more year with a new long snapper could produce better results in 2021.
2021 Prediction: Tress Way will set a new single-season team record for punting average and balls downed inside the 20-yard line. He will also complete one pass for 27 yards and a first down.
Dustin Hopkins will set new personal records for field goals made, extra points made, and field goal percentage.
