Rounds 5-6

Round 5

Mock Prediction:  Sadarius Hutcherson, Offensive Guard, South Carolina

Draft Selection:  Darrick Forrest, Safety, Cincinnati

For the second straight round, we have a horrible prediction that was far short of what was mocked.  Mocking a guard seemed like a logical choice for the future and adding talented linemen on either side of the ball is always a good strategy.  The Washington Football Team selected a player that fills another team need – free safety.  Darrick Forrest is a solid prospect.

Grade:  F

Round 6

Mock Prediction:  None

Draft Selection:  Camaron Cheeseman, Long Snapper, Michigan

The mock draft did not include a trade and the selection was part of a deal that added this draft pick.  Is that a miss?  How should it be graded?  The Washington Football Team entered the draft with no sixth round pick, but that changed when the trade produced sixth and seventh-round picks.  We talked about the need for a long snapper, but never mocked one.  Camaron Cheeseman was the choice.  Instead of being harsh, let’s handle it this way.
