Rounds 1-2

Round 1

Mock Prediction:  Zaven Collins, Linebacker, Tulsa

Draft Selection:  Jamin Davis, Linebacker, Kentucky

It was a known secret that the Washington Football Team would be selecting a linebacker in the first round, but an offensive tackle was possible if the “perfect” candidate was available.  Mocking a linebacker was quite easy and that will help the grade here.  We didn’t score a precise hit with Jamin Davis, but this prediction is not a disaster.

Grade:  B+

Round 2

Mock Prediction:  Walker Little, Offensive Tackle, Stanford

Draft Selection:  Sam Cosmi, Offensive Tackle, Texas

We scored another partial hit with the selection of an offensive tackle, but missed the actual player – Sam Cosmi.  However, they are the same height, weight, and both tackles went to superb academic institutions – are you buying any of this stuff?  With this second round pick, our first two mock choices produced decent results.  The prognostication process was about to become increasingly difficult with the arrival of the next round.

Grade:  B+
