Washington Football Team undrafted free agent tracker after 2021 NFL Draft
The 2021 NFL Draft has officially come to a close. The Washington Football Team added a lot of talent to their team, selecting nine players in total and adding more young, dynamic talent to their roster.
Of course, they’re not quite done adding to their team. With the draft now over, it’s time for the team to focus on the players that fell to the ranks of the undrafted. There are some talented players still available for the team to sign, and these players could compete for depth spots on Washington’s roster, or at least they could fight for practice squad spots.
Last year, the Washington Football Team made just four undrafted free agent signings. It was a bit of a surprise, but because of the state of the offseason amid the COVID-19 pandemic, it made sense that they would want to focus on developing the young talent that they had drafted.

Will they once again take a less is more approach in undrafted free agency? It’s possible, but it’s more likely that with the offseason opening up a bit more they will dip into the UDFA pool a little bit more than they did last year.
Additionally, because of how the scouting process worked this year, some players could have slipped through the cracks. So, taking a chance on a handful of them would be a sensible move for Ron Rivera and Co.
Soon enough, we’ll see what the team is planning to do with their undrafted free agents. We’ll track all their activity on the free-agent market here at Riggo’s Rag, so stay tuned for updates about the team’s 90-man roster in the coming days.
