2021 NFL Mock Draft: Picks 41-44

41. Detroit Lions: WR Terrace Marshall Jr., LSU. The Lions are continuing to build their offense around Jared Goff. Getting Penei Sewell was an excellent start, but acquiring a potential No. 1 receiver will be critical to giving Goff any sort of chance.

Marshall has a 6-foot-3 frame, sub-4.4 speed, and caught 23 TDs in his final two years at LSU. That includes 10 last season when the team struggled a bit at the quarterback spot. Penciling him in as the No. 1 receiver and bumping Tyrell Williams and Breshad Perriman to the Nos. 2 and 3 roles looks a lot better than life without Marshall.

42. New York Giants: C Creed Humphrey, Oklahoma. The Giants need a center and Humphrey’s fit with them is excellent. In fact, it was so good that our own Ian Cummings mocked Humphrey to the Giants in Round 1.

With Humphrey still on the board, the Giants could get a big-time value here, as the athletic center could further improve Daniel Jones’ blocking and communication. And hey, Dave Gettleman loves adding to the O-Line, so this seems like a slam-dunk pick.

43. San Francisco 49ers: CB Tyson Campbell, Georgia. The 49ers don’t have a lot of holes. They have some aging offensive linemen that could use backups but generally, their starting lineup looks solid.

One place where there may be some questions is cornerback. Jason Verrett was very good last year, but he has rarely stayed healthy. As such, adding a 6-foot-2 corner like Campbell could be a good move. He could eventually take over as a starter on the outside but wouldn’t have to start right away if he’s not ready.

44. Dallas Cowboys: S Trevon Moehrig, TCU. The Cowboys get a borderline steal here as Moehrig was reportedly in the running for the Washington Football Team’s pick at 19. But the TCU product lasts until 44 due to a devaluing of the safety position in a so-so class.

Moehrig has averaged three picks and 10 pass defenses per season the last two years and is a good athlete with a 6-foot-1 frame. While Dallas signed Keanu Neal this offseason, Moehrig has fewer injury issues at this stage in his career, so he should be the pick as the Cowboys continue to bolster the middle of their defense.
