Round 5: Sadarius Hutcherson, Offensive Guard, South Carolina

When the fifth round arrived on the simulator, there were several quality offensive guards and while that is not a primary need this offseason, it is a good idea to have a solid rookie to groom for the future.

It’s a strong possibility that Washington Football Team right guard Brandon Scherff will move to another team in 2022.  Hutcherson would be the ideal player to develop in 2021 and have him ready to play the following season.

Hutcherson has played several positions on the offensive line at South Carolina and that collective experience will help his career in the NFL.  He is a force in the rushing offense and will need some work in the passing game.  Hutcherson possesses the prototypical size that you look for in an NFL guard.

Other Possible Fifth Round Targets:

  • Tamorrion Terry, Wide Receiver, Florida St.
  • Charles Snowden, Outside Linebacker, Virginia
  • Dan Moore, Offensive Tackle, Texas A&M
  • Ian Book, Quarterback, Notre Dame
  • Frank Darby, Wide Receiver, Arizona St.
  • Joshua Kaindoh, Outside Linebacker/Defensive End, Florida St.
  • Tre McKitty, Tight End, Georgia
