Rounds 1-2

Round 1

  • Justin Fields, Quarterback, Ohio St.  We had him as a bust potential and that is possible, but he is likely to have a long and productive career in the NFL.
  • Trey Lance, Quarterback, North Dakota St.  Here is another signal caller that we listed as a bust, but Lance should have a good impact in the league for many years to come.
  • DeVonta Smith, Wide Receiver, Alabama.  Yes, his thin weight is a problem, but Smith is simply going to be a force in the NFL.
  • Micah Parsons, Linebacker, Penn St.  The character concerns are real, but very overblown.  The best linebacker in this draft could be a generational player.
  • Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Linebacker, Notre Dame.  This WILL linebacker will turn heads at the next level and should be able to play three or four positions during any game.  He will have a good impact.
  • Rashod Bateman, Wide Receiver, Minnesota.  A few years from now, analysts could be saying that Bateman was the best receiver in the 2021 draft.
  • Jaycee Horn, Cornerback, South Carolina.  Arguably, the best corner in the draft.  Would the Washington Football Team draft Horn if he is there at 19?
  • Jamin Davis, Linebacker, Kentucky.  Is Washington targeting him in the first round?

Ken’s Korner:  Watch the linebackers.  Any of the three listed above could be a target of the Washington Football Team on day one of the draft.

Round 2

  • Liam Eichenberg, Offensive Tackle, Notre Dame.  Notre Dame is an offensive line production factory and Eichenberg will be the next offensive tackle from their assembly line.
  • Jabril Cox, Linebacker, LSU.  If the Washington Football Team doesn’t take a linebacker in Round 1, Cox could be the choice in this round.
  • Pat Freiermuth, Tight End, Penn St.  We listed him among the potential busts, but Freiermuth should have a solid career in the NFL.
  • Jayson Oweh, Edge, Penn St.  Could Oweh sneak into Round 1?
  • Creed Humphrey, Center/Guard, Oklahoma.  Humphrey is underrated, but would Washington draft him to be a guard?
  • Richie Grant, Free Safety, Central Florida.  Some analysts rate Grant as a second-rounder and others believe he will last to the third round.

Ken’s Korner:  The players to look for in the second round are Cox and Grant.  Either one could be drafted by Washington.
