Washington Football Team: Four Day 3 RB targets to consider
Chuba Hubbard, Oklahoma State
A star at Oklahoma State, Hubbard racked up accolades over the course of his career. The nation’s leading collegiate rusher in 2019, Hubbard has experience handling a heavy workload as a workhorse running back.
In 2020, Hubbard saw a dip in his production. In seven games, Hubbard averaged 4.7 yards per carry, over a yard lower than his previous career low. While Hubbard accumulated nearly 3,500 yards in his three-season career at Oklahoma State, over 2,000 of those yards came in the 2019 campaign.
Despite this drop in production and an ankle injury that cut his season short, Hubbard took home second-team All-Big 12 honors in 2020.

The 6-foot, 210-pound workhorse back made a collegiate career out of running behind the tackles. While great for him in college, as a likely reserve player Hubbard does not have the pass-catching acumen that the modern NFL offense sometimes requires.
Mileage could be a concern to some franchises, as Hubbard has racked up a healthy number of touches and snaps over his three-year career.
In the end, Hubbard is worth it at his value. Rated at the 12th running back on CBS’s evaluation, Hubbard seems like a solid fifth-rounder with potential upside. He is obviously a talented runner and has the potential to make a splash once teams set up training camp in August.
