Washington Football Team should be wary of these potential busts in 2021 NFL Draft
Potential NFL Draft Busts: Rounds 3-4
Round 3
- Milton Williams, Defensive End, Louisiana Tech. Too small to be an interior lineman. Too big to be an edge. Can he make it as a defensive end?
- Alex Leatherwood, Offensive Tackle, Alabama. Why is he continuing to fall out of favor with scouts and analysts?
- Carlos Basham, Edge, Wake Forest. He will need to lose about 25 pounds before taking the field as an edge.
- Andre Cisco, Free Safety, Syracuse. An injury cost him the 2020 season. Will a year away affect his abilities in the NFL?
- Tommy Tremble, Tight End, Notre Dame. Great blocker, but he will need to improve as a receiver. Can Washington Football Team tight ends coach Pete Hoener mold Tremble into a solid pass catcher?
- Spencer Brown, Offensive Tackle, Northern Iowa. He may not make it as a left or right tackle. Is his future in the NFL as a guard?
Ken’s Korner: Williams and Basham could be facing uphill battles in the NFL, mostly due to size. Brown could prove the critics wrong and he does like to play with an attitude.
Washington Commanders
Round 4
- Davis Mills, Quarterback, Stanford. Lack of game experience and multiple flaws could doom his career before it ever begins.
- Quinn Meinerz, Offensive Guard, Wisconsin-Whitewater. Can he make the jump from NCAA Division III to the NFL?
- Dylan Moses, Linebacker, Alabama. Moses has plenty of believers out there, but he continues to lose favor with scouts. However, he could be a major steal for the Washington Football Team in this round.
- Jaelon Darden, Wide Receiver, North Texas. With a short stature and weighing only 170 pounds, Darden could face a lot of uphill battles just to find a place in the NFL.
- Ar’Darius Washington, Safety, Texas Christian. Another short and skinny athlete that faces an uphill battle as well.
- Elerson Smith, Edge, Northern Iowa. He will have trouble with running backs and covering shorter passing routes. He is a decent pass rusher.
Ken’s Korner: Each of these players could bust, but Moses could succeed. Some of Moses’ criticisms seem a bit overblown.
