26. Cleveland Browns: Alabama DT Christian Barmore

Usually, Christian Barmore doesn’t make it past the Jacksonville Jaguars at No. 25 overall. He’s the best defensive tackle in the 2021 NFL Draft class, and the Jaguars have a need on the interior line. But here, the Jaguars instead decided to address their secondary, and Barmore fell to the Browns. Since the Browns recently cut Sheldon Richardson, they have a void on the line, and Barmore can fill it.

Barmore is a bit raw, but he’s a very impressive athletic specimen with a 6-foot-6 frame that measures in over 300 pounds. He’s powerful and heavy-handed, and he has the length to pry lanes open as a pass rusher. He also finished his career on a strong note, like the Washington Football Team’s linemen, and he’s trending upward as he enters the NFL. The Browns have other needs, but Barmore’s value here is too much.
