2021 3-round NFL mock draft: Washington Football Team adds a QB

23. New York Jets: Michigan EDGE Kwity Paye
The New York Jets were proactive in their first free agency period with Robert Saleh and Joe Douglas at the helm. They signed big-ticket free agents Corey Davis, Carl Lawson, and Sheldon Rankins, and they also added potential value deals in Jarrad Davis, Keelan Cole, and Tevin Coleman.
The Jets’ free agency period gave them some flexibility, and since they have two picks at No. 23 and No. 34, they can afford to take the best player available here. Who the BPA is depends on your board, but since no edge rusher has been picked yet, they can take the arguable EDGE1 in Kwity Paye.
Like Lawson, Paye is explosive, energetic, and powerful at the point of attack. He’s not the longest player, but he has a red-hot motor and impressive burst off the line. He’s also very good at cornering, despite his density. With Paye and Lawson, the Jets can revamp their pass rush overnight.
