Washington Football Team Round 3 picks

The Washington Football Team enters the third round with three draft picks.  Are any other trades coming?

Andre Cisco, Free Safety, Syracuse – 6-feet, 210 poinds

As we have mentioned in recent mock drafts, Andre Cisco is arguably one of the best free safeties in the draft.  However, an early-season injury forced him to the sidelines for most of the 2020 season.  Here is what we said in the most recent mock draft.

More from Commanders Draft News

"Unfortunately for Andre Cisco, he was injured in pre-game warmups early in the 2020 season and missed most of his final year for the Orange.  This has hurt his draft stock somewhat and it allows Washington to add a major steal at this juncture.  Cisco is one of the best free safeties in the draft and it is definitely a team need.  Before the untimely injury, Cisco was rated as a second round prospect by most draft services."

Walker Little, Offensive Tackle, Stanford – 6-foot-7, 320 pounds

In recent days, Walker Little has received plenty of attention in these various mocks here at Riggo’s Rag, and rightfully so.  He would be an absolute steal in the third round.

Most analysts currently rank Little as a fifth or sixth-round prospect, but that is not going to happen.  He is way too talented to slip that far and while the former Cardinal should’ve played in 2020, it really shouldn’t lower his credentials as a future offensive lineman in the NFL.

The Washington Football Team needs to secure his services in this round if a tackle hasn’t been drafted thus far.  It is a team need and Walker Little is a legitimate answer to fill that essential position on the offensive line.

Imagine drafting one of the best left tackles in the draft in the third round and having him around for the next four years at a very affordable cost.  And he could be around for 12 to 15 years.  That is Walker Little.

Tommy Tremble, Tight End, Notre Dame – 6-foot-4, 245 pounds

Tommy Tremble is one of the most underrated tight ends in this draft and Washington would get the perfect match for Logan Thomas.  Tremble is a ferocious blocker and a decent pass catcher, but tight ends coach Pete Hoener should be able to turn the Fighting Irish tight end into a bona fide receiver.  Hoener has developed Vernon Davis, Delanie Walker, and an unknown/unheralded player by the name of Greg Olsen.

Other Possible Third Round Targets:

  • Nico Collins, Wide Receiver, Michigan
  • Paulson Adebo, Cornerback, Stanford
  • Pete Werner, Linebacker, Ohio St.
  • Tylan Wallace, Wide Receiver, Oklahoma St.
  • Chazz Surratt, Linebacker, North Carolina
  • Kyle Trask, Quarterback, Florida
