Washington Football Team picks Round 3

Trade

The Washington Football Team trades their first pick in the third round and moves down to the latter part of round three.  They receive two fourth-rounders.

Andre Cisco, Free Safety, Syracuse – 6-feet, 210 pounds

More from Riggo's Rag

Unfortunately for Andre Cisco, he was injured in pre-game warmups early in the 2020 season and missed most of his final year for the Orange.  This has hurt his draft stock somewhat and it allows Washington to add a major steal at this juncture.  Cisco is one of the best free safeties in the draft and it is definitely a team need.  Before the untimely injury, Cisco was rated as a second-round prospect by most draft services.

The addition of Cisco will erase the bad memories that many Washington free safeties have created over the last decade or so.  Andre Cisco is an interception machine and covers the deep field quite effectively.  He does take a poor angle on occasion and can give up a major chunk of yardage by doing so.  That trait is correctable.

Walker Little, Offensive Tackle, Stanford – 6-foot-7, 320 pounds

Can there be any doubt that Walker Little would’ve been a first-round prospect had he played in 2020?  Here is what we said about him a few days ago in the offensive tackles mock draft.

"Most analysts and scouts have Walker Little listed as a fifth or sixth-rounder, but that would be a huge (pun slightly intended) mistake.  Little has played since September, 2019.  An injury early in 2019 sidelined him for the rest of the season.  He opted out in 2020 and that was probably a mistake.  He could’ve used the time to re-establish his credentials as a solid left tackle."

Is Walker Little underrated or overrated?  Bet the former.  The Washington Football Team could score a major hit here and fill another significant need at an inexpensive cost.

Other Possible Third Round Targets:

Nico Collins, Wide Receiver, Michigan

Paulson Adebo, Cornerback, Stanford

Tommy Tremble, Tight End, Notre Dame

Pete Werner, Linebacker, Ohio St.

Tylan Wallace, Wide Receiver, Oklahoma St.

Chazz Surratt, Linebacker, North Carolina

Kyle Trask, Quarterback, Florida
