Washington Football Team undrafted free agent

There are several other players who I wanted to draft, but figured they would be available as UDFAs. I am not counting on intriguing WR prospects Mike Strachan (Charleston) and Cade Johnson (South Dakota State) being available after the draft, but…

Henry Litwin, WR, Slippery Rock

The 6-foot-1, 195 pound Litwin caught 103 passes in 2019. He had 1,509 receiving yards and scored 21 touchdowns. I realize this is D2 competition, but those kind of numbers demand a look. And against the best that D2 had to offer, which is a decent level of play, Litwin was at his best, going for 29 catches, 441 yards, and five touchdowns over the course of three playoff games in 2019.

And he can hurdle, as you’ll see here.

I think it goes without saying that restricting your actual draft to nothing but small school prospects is a sure way to earn yourself a pink slip as a GM in the NFL. But running through an exercise like this does reveal how many good players there are at less-renowned schools. Bringing in a couple of them every year can bear some excellent fruit.

WFT mock draft - Offensive tackles only. dark. Next

Just ask Art Shell (Maryland State, now UMES) Richard Dent (Tennessee State), or Larry Allen (Sonoma State). Ask Darrell Green (Texas A&I, now Texas A7M-Kingsville).
