Washington Football Team ‘small school’ only mock draft

Washington Football Team Pick Round 2: Dillon Rudunz, LT, North Dakota State
Remember when the Washington Football Team used to draft back-to-back players from Alabama? Well, in this mock, it’s back-to-back from the Bisons of North Dakota State.
This pick comes down to two dominant tackles. If you want Northern Iowa’s massive Spencer Brown, I have no objection. I’m choosing Radunz in part because he has played on the left side, whereas Brown has mostly played on the right, where Morgan Moses should be ensconced for at least a few more years.
And because I can’t help but believe that bringing Radunz in would help with Lance’s transition. I have no insight into whether they are best buds, or even like each other. But they have had success together, and with both about to take a big step up, I have to believe each would be more comfortable having at least one familiar face around.

Radunz projects to take over at left tackle at some point, but as with Lance and Fitzpatrick, if he is not ready on day 1, he has the luxury of sitting behind incumbent Cornelius Lucas for a little while.
Washington Football Team Pick Round 3: Quinn Meinerz, OG, Wisconsin-Whitewater
Now we’re talking. Wisconsin-Whitewater is a D3 school. No scholarships. And Whitewater has been among the best programs at that level for at least the past 10 years.
Meinerz is a big, powerful run blocker who should have no trouble adjusting to the power schemes of the NFL. He may well have trouble with the speed of the players with whom he will be contending, but that is why he is playing on the inside.
Meinerz has the physicality to become a very good interior linemen and despite coming from a D3 school he should be able to get up to speed fairly quickly. This could be the starting right guard for the Washington Football Team when Brandon Scherff leaves in 2022.
