The Washington Football Team should be excited about the upcoming NFL Draft.

The 2021 NFL Draft represents another chance to build and create a vision for the future going forward. There is talent to be had at multiple positions of need. This is a three-round mock showing just one those possibilities.

Starting on Thursday April 29th and ending Saturday May 1st, what is usually the most wonderful time of year for fans across the National Football League will take place.

The 2021 NFL Draft will fire up with Commissioner Roger Goodell being booed. Last year the booing took place virtually as many of us remember. However, it will be another chance for fans to have some hope and belief that our favorite team is potentially  finding the next Tom Brady. But, since this blog here at Riggo’s Rag is focused on the Washington Football Team, let’s get after it.

The Washington Football Team ended the 2020 season with a playoff loss to the eventual Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the aforementioned Tom Brady. However, mock drafts were being looked at well before that loss to see what could keep Ron Rivera and company afloat heading into the 2021 season. More depth, talent, and blue-chip prospects are needed for sustained success and that begins with the draft.

Since I haven’t done a mock draft for this website yet, I figured it was my turn to demonstrate to fans of the Washington Football Team that there is depth, talent, and blue-chip prospects to be had in the 2021 NFL Draft. It is of this writer’s opinion that when drafting particular players, there must be a focus on increasing team speed and athleticism to build on roster depth. In addition, finding players who are tough and competitive in the mold of the head coach will be key in roster construction.

There are endless possibilities with roster construction and that’s what makes the draft so entertaining. Without further ado, Ron Rivera and the new brain trust is on the clock. With the 19th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Washington Football Team selects…
