Final Washington Football Team either/or mock draft for 2021
Round 3
Either:
Andre Cisco, Free Safety, Syracuse – 6-0, 205
Andre Cisco has become a forgotten prospect in the 2021 draft, but he could be a major steal in this round for the Washington Football Team. On September 26, Cisco was participating in pre-game warmups just prior to the Georgia Tech game and he collided with a teammate. His season was suddenly over and what was expected to be a brilliant junior season was lost in a strange twist of fate. He declared for the draft and his injury definitely hurt his stock a bit.
Or:
Pete Werner, Linebacker, Ohio State – 6-3, 240
If Washington is looking to steal a talented linebacker in the third round, Pete Werner is a very good choice with their first pick in the third round. He is a blue-collar type of player who gives 100% all the time and Werner would be a great fit for Jack Del Rio’s 4-3 defense. The Washington Football Team has enjoyed some great success with middle linebackers over the years with guys like Neal Olkewicz to London Fletcher. Werner could continue the tradition.
Either:
Dylan Moses, Linebacker, Alabama – 6-3, 235
You know how this routine works each year in the spring. If you want to improve the defense, draft a player from Alabama. A good Crimson Tide player to add this year is linebacker Dylan Moses. After the loss of Kevin Pierre-Louis to the Texans in free agency, Moses would be the perfect replacement and at a much cheaper cost. That would represent a win for the Washington Football Team. The hard-hitting Moses should thrive in the 4-3 defense on either side.
Or:
Nico Collins, Wide Receiver, Michigan – 6-4, 215
Nico Collins made the decision to sit out the 2020 season and prepare for the 2021 NFL Draft. It probably wasn’t the best choice, but he is still widely considered to be a third-round prospect. At the recent Michigan Pro Day, Collins was able to regain some favor with analysts after he crushed the event with a great time in the 40 and in various drills. Scouts from the Washington Football Team were in attendance. Collins would add a great downfield threat in a tall body and offers a commanding presence in the red zone.
Verdict: Andre Cisco is an interception machine at free safety and he will be a steal in this round. Nico Collins would be another piece of the transformation at wide receiver this offseason for Washington and he is the preferred choice.
