In part two of this mock draft series, we focus exclusively on linebackers and examine prospects that could be the best fit for the Washington Football Team.

The 2021 NFL Draft is less than three weeks away and the fan base is starting to ramp up the excitement.  Pre-draft trades continue to generate a lot of attention and each transaction could affect what the Washington Football Team could do in each round.  The speculation has become more than just a topic of conversation around the water cooler and analysts are offering a multiplicity of scenarios for the Burgundy and Gold.  Will Washington focus on the best player available strategy or is it likely that team needs are specifically addressed?

Welcome to part two of the position-only mock draft series.  Last week, we put free safeties on the Riggo’s Rag examination table and the focus for today is linebackers.  It is arguably the most significant need heading into the draft and Washington must place a high priority to select one on day one or day two.

Despite reports that Washington is in dire need of a linebacker, we should realize that the situation is not one of total desperation.  Cole Holcomb is a rising star.  Jon Bostic provides intensity and leadership.  Josh Harvey-Clemons returns after opting out in 2020.  David Mayo is a solid depth addition.  Khaleke Hudson looks to improve on a decent rookie season.  However, there is an obvious need for an inside linebacker and there will be many good options in the draft.

We will continue to use the same format and each player that is mocked will come with a short description.  The linebackers take center stage today and it is time to see who is on Washington’s radar.
