Additional Thoughts

The Washington Football Team needs a solid starter at free safety and it is a safe bet that one will be drafted in a few weeks.  One could be added via free agency following the draft as well.  If they draft another free safety, it will be in the seventh round and that player will be seen as a special teams candidate.

As we mentioned earlier, we will feature three additional positions in this mock format.  The linebackers are profiled next in a few days and then it is on to the offense as we take a look at tight ends and wide receivers or tackles.  Do you have a preference between receivers or tackles?  We’ll let you know what is decided in the next mock.

We are less than four weeks away from the draft and the Washington Football Team is likely far along in formulating their draft board.  The evaluation of prospects is in its final stages as team interviews and pro day visits are winding down.

What will Washington do before the draft?  Is a trade possible?  Is signing another key free agent on the horizon?  These last-minute changes are not likely, but it could be one more factor in the pre-draft period.  Stay tuned – the excitement is ramping up.
