Additional Thoughts

The free agent market for quarterbacks is very thin.  Only one possible option makes sense (Winston) and that is somewhat “iffy”.  It looks like it will take a trade in the opening days of free agency if the Washington Football Team wants a quality starter.  The draft is always an option, but it may take a trade in the first round to acquire a franchise quarterback of the future.

There are several restricted free agents and plenty of lower-tier veterans available, but none are worth mentioning here.  This is how dry the free agent market for quarterbacks will be next week.  The market is even drier now that Cam Newton has signed. The Washington Football Team has options, but free agency is probably not the answer.
