Middle Tier

Jacoby Brissett, Colts

Jacoby Brissett has a lot of potential, but he seems to be stuck in something of a “yo-yo” pattern – one year good, one year not so good.  If Brissett wants to succeed in this league, he needs to take charge and give 100% to being good each year.  The Washington Football Team is unlikely to consider signing him, and it’s possible New England could bring him back with Newton, as a backup.

Mitch Trubisky, Bears

It’s still difficult to imagine why the Bears chose Mitch Trubisky second overall in the 2017 draft.  It becomes simply baffling when you consider that Patrick Mahomes was chosen eight picks later.  The former Tar Heel is not a bust right now.  He has occasional streaks of solid production, but he is very inconsistent.  His next stop will not be his last – a decent backup is always a good option and that is Mitch Trubisky’s ceiling.

Tyrod Taylor, Chargers

The last productive season for Tyrod Taylor came in 2017.  He has bounced around the league since 2011 and he is nothing more than a serviceable backup now.

Prediction:  The Washington Football Team will pass on these quarterbacks.  The only one in this group who has the potential to be a quality starter is Trubisky, but that window is closing quickly.
