50. . Quarterback. Detroit Lions. Trey Lance. 7. player

Earlier in the offseason, the Detroit Lions traded Matthew Stafford to the Rams. In the transaction, Jared Goff was swapped to the Lions, along with draft compensation. For some, the move took QB off the Lions’ board. But seeing how Goff has been an average quarterback since 2019, he’s more likely a bridge for the next guy.

Trey Lance may be QB4 on my board, but he’s still a top ten prospect. People have been going a bit overboard with the “lack of experience” comments. It’s certainly a reason to be cautious, but Lance is much more mechanically proficient than one would expect at his age, and he’s also an elite athlete with a rocket arm to boot. He gives Detroit their franchise QB, and he can sit and learn under Goff.
