We don’t need to spend much time on this one. Normally, the choice of the top quarterback would be a bit closer, and between Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields, the race actually might be a little closer than advertised.

Nevertheless, Lawrence is still comfortably the consensus QB1 in this draft class, and many draft analysts, including yours truly, have him as their top overall player. There’s no room for Jacksonville to overthink this. They need a top-flight QB, and that’s what Lawrence is.
