Round 3 Pick 74, TE Brevin Jordan, Miami

For our Round 3 pick, it looks like Ian and I agree that Brevin Jordan would be a great selection for Washington. One NFL Network expert called Jordan the “best ‘all-around’ TE in this 2021 NFL Draft class.”

One thing that is mentioned when Jordan is discussed is his versatility. Do you see a pattern here? Coach Rivera loves players that can contribute in different facets of the game and line up all over the field. Jordan has the body of a big wide receiver and could be used as a hybrid TE/WR.

In 2020, he led all tight ends in both yards after catch and yards after contact. In his Bowl Game performance against Oklahoma State, he finished with a game-high eight receptions, 96 receiving yards, and two touchdowns.

Not only is he a good target, but he has also shown the ability to be a successful blocker. Imagine a 1-2 tandem of Logan Thomas and Brevin Jordan along with Terry McLaurin, Antonio Gibson, and any other receivers Washington brings in during free agency. Add in the Justin Fields selection in Round 1 and this team is coming together.
