Free agency opens for the NFL in approximately two weeks. Here are three bold predictions for the Washington Football Team.

Free agency is fast approaching. Players are being released due to cap constraints, franchise tags are being discussed and much, much more is occurring. This year’s free agency is unique. Unlike most years, front offices really have no idea what the cap number for this year will be due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Some say it will be about $180M, others say it will be around $190M or others say it could stretch to around $200M. The actual number is still up in the air. Because of this, a record number of teams are in the negative for cap space. Therefore, teams and fans can expect a very rich free agent pool. There will be quality players getting released to help save teams money.

With the parameters for the uniqueness of the 2021 NFL Free Agency set, lets discuss the premise of the piece today. Today, is a time to get bold. I will be making three bold predictions for how I could see the Washington Football Team’s free agency playing out.

Do not mistake “bold” for impossible, however, as according to Mike Jones, you can expect a “calculated and aggressive plan” from the Washington Football Team. Any of the three options are a possibility, some more likely than others. With that said, lets dive in!
