Round 3, Pick 74

Man, Cleveland is really into giving me bad trade offers today, for some reason. I appreciate the invite to the NFL’s gutter, but I’m gonna have to pass.

Okay, here we are in Round 3. You know the drill. Let’s take a look at the players. How does your board fall, based on who you’ve picked so far?

  • Oklahoma State WR Tylan Wallace
  • Ole Miss WR Elijah Moore
  • Miami TE Brevin Jordan
  • Northern Iowa OT Spencer Brown
  • Stanford QB Davis Mills
  • Texas A&M QB Kellen Mond
  • North Carolina WR Dyami Brown
  • Pittsburgh EDGE Rashad Weaver
  • North Carolina LB Chazz Surratt
  • Kentucky LB Jamin Davis
  • Florida State S Hamsah Nasirildeen

Personally, I view these quarterbacks as half-measures, or variations of half-measures. You know how I feel about half-measures.

I like the wide receivers present, but with another pick in this round, I might be able to stack receivers later on. I included Rashad Weaver in case someone wants to be weird and use one of the Washington Football Team’s third-round picks on an edge rusher.

For me, since I’ve picked Zaven Collins and Rondale Moore, I’m gravitating toward Brevin Jordan for this pick. I love his potential as a versatile RAC threat at tight end, and I think he’s one of the most likely players to be picked between our third-round selections.

My Pick: Miami TE Brevin Jordan

The Cowboys are now on the clock. But we’ll be up again soon enough.
