Predictions 4-6

Prediction 4

We predicted that Logan Thomas would have a breakout season with 48 catches and seven touchdowns (one predicted on a jet sweep).  He had 72 receptions and six receiving touchdowns (pinpointed it!).

Thomas exceeded what many thought was possible in 2020, but 72 catches were never considered a realistic figure under any scenario.  Let’s hope the fun continues in 2021.

Self-Grade: A

Prediction 5

Trying to suggest that Troy Apke would produce “tangible production” in 2020 with some solid numbers is a difficult pill to swallow.  Yes, yours truly actually thought Apke would shine last season with some respectable numbers.

I humbly lower my head in shame and admit that it was solely based on hope – a hope that had no basis in reality.  Apke is a good special teamer and nothing more.  Lesson learned.

Self-Grade: F

Prediction 6

Perhaps it wasn’t too much of a reach to think that Montez Sweat would produce incredible numbers.  Our only miss was the sack total, but it wasn’t too far from the original prediction.  His sophomore season did not disappoint as he lead the defense to being one of the best units in the league.

There is no reason to think he will regress in 2021.  Sweat’s career is on the fast track to super-stardom.

Self-Grade: A

The predictions in this section were better than the first three.  Let’s see if the positive trends continue with the final four educated guesses.
