Honorable Mention: Trevor Lawrence

Would I trade three first-round picks for Trevor Lawrence? You bet I would. Would I trade a combination of Chase Young, Terry McLaurin, and others in addition to that? Absolutely not.

Therefore as an honorable mention, it’s Trevor Lawrence. There’s a likelier chance of me never eating a steak again than Washington somehow selecting “Sunshine”.

Lawrence, the consensus No. 1 prospect in the 2021 NFL draft, would be the best-fit long-term. He’d be the best possible outcome the WFT could imagine in this draft, but it stays at that.

Lawrence going to Washington is unlikely, very unlikely, extremely unlikely. But out of respect for him, his game, you have to include him in this piece because he is that much of a difference-maker and will be a superstar at the next level.

Lawrence is the best quarterback prospect since Andrew Luck, with the tools to be a better version of rookie sensation Justin Herbert. There’s no true player comparison here. He’s an athlete similar to Josh Allen, yet he’s a much better passer at all-three levels of the passing game. He’s long-limbed and decisive in his reads like Matthew Stafford.

He’s truly the alpha of this quarterback class, the consensus No. 1 prospect, the greatest prospect that I’ve personally ever scouted in my now second draft here at Riggo’s Rag.

Trevor Lawrence would make the DMV all about the WFT, but it’s not going to happen. The Jaguars are going to take him No. 1 overall barring a massive shock. Should Washington somehow pull off a miracle, all of the DMV should storm the streets while simultaneously figuring out a way to stay six feet away from each other while celebrating.

But alas, Lawrence is destined to be a Jaguar, so here’s a look at the top five QBs that Washington may actually have a shot at getting.
