Other Offensive Players: TE Kyle Pitts (Florida) and WR Rashod Bateman (Minnesota)

A few mocks have Washington choosing the top tight end in the draft, Kyle Pitts. He won’t be available. Pitts will probably be drafted in the top 12, and if not, I don’t see him falling below New England at 15.

If he somehow did slip, he would merit serious consideration, but I don’t see trading up to select him.

Bateman is a very intriguing prospect. He is a bigger receiver than the other top prospects (DeVonta Smith, Waddle, Toney), and were it not for the bizarre year that was 2020, he might be going higher.

After a very impressive 2019, Bateman initially opted to sit out the 2020 season, but then rejoined Minnesota when the Big Ten began playing. He wasn’t particularly bad in 2020, but he just never got much of a chance to produce very much, which leaves him a bit of a mystery.

Somebody will take a chance on him and his upside is very high. But I don’t see Washington being the ones to take that chance at 19.
